Your Projects

Through many scriptures we are commanded to care for the hungry, thirsty, stranger, naked, sick, prisoner, fatherless, widow and destitute. Sometimes they are called “brother”, sometimes “neighbor”, sometimes “alien”. And sometimes no distinction is drawn at all.

But how can we help the very poorest when none of us is going to move to Latin America or the Caribbean to run a project? We wouldn’t have the contacts and skills necessary to accomplish most of these good works. We find the best approach is to work with small NGOs (non-government organizations) or individuals that have a history of solid performance.

We have chosen at this time to support several projects. These will be extended and other projects will be initiated as additional funds are received. Individuals from CMaDFA have met with the individuals who will perform each of these projects, and have visited many of the project sites. How do we select our projects?
