Creative Ideas for Giving
Like to contribute but don’t have any funds or would like to raise more? Here are some creative ideas, some for adults, some for kids, some for groups.
- Use your talent to make a handicraft or paint a picture or ??, sell it and donate the money
- Collect clothes (or anything else of value) and give them directly to one of our projects
- Have a yard sale or take items to a resale shop and donate the money
- Children collect for CMaDFA at Halloween (like Unicef)
- Sunday School fundraisers—sell candy, cards, etc.—and donate the money
- Invite Meal a Day for dinner... instead of going out, eat something healthy at home and donate what you would have paid if you had gone out.
- Place a coin box at your place of meeting
- Collect children's eyeglasses for Andrew Bassford
- Print this card and contribute to CMaDFA as a gift to others to honor their birthday, wedding graduation, anniversary, Christmas, etc. Or print this card to mark a contribution you make in memoriam.
- Organize a group walk/bike/run-a-thon to raise money
- Organize a recyclables drive and donate the money
- Run a "Give it up for Meal a Day" campaign, where people give up coffee, candy, cigarettes, alcohol, etc. for a month, and donate the savings.
- Walk or bike to work/meeting/school and donate the savings
- $100 a plate "Campaign fund raiser" meal for CMaDFA (ok, maybe $100 is too much)
- Print and sell T-Shirts, caps, etc. (look for more on this from us in the future)
- Divert funds normally given to other non-Christadelphian charitable donations (Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc) to allow CMaDFA to steward these funds on your behalf
- Get CMaDFA qualified at your workplace for company-matching employee donations
- Make a presentation to your Arranging Board for regular ecclesial support of CMaDFA
- Print and pass out forms to sign up for regular monthly donations to CMaDFA
- Arrange for your favorite Bible School/Gathering/CYC/Ecclesia/etc. to show the CMaDFA DVD to all adults and teens
- Email your friends to introduce them to the CMaDFA website (www.mealaday.org)
- Use your Facebook or Myspace page to promote CMaDFA
- Make a monthly donation to CMaDFA that is equal to another monthly bill you pay (phone, cable TV, car payment, house payment (OK, not those last two))
- Host a booth at a local fair, asking for donations
- Ask relatives to support CMaDFA
- Consider a legacy (supporting CMaDFA in your will)
- Sell stocks at a loss and contribute your tax benefit…you’ll still get the charitable donation write-off.
- Tithe
- Set up payroll deduction, if possible
- Send us YOUR ideas
